CHI NEI TSANG/Thai Abdominal Massage
Chi Nei Tsang, or CNT, is an ancient form of detoxifying, energizing, abdominal massage. It blends Chinese and Thai massage and meditation techniques - making it truly different from any other healing modality. Abdominal massage is perhaps one of the most profound forms of bodywork. The majority of physical and emotional imbalances and congestion are stored in the abdomen, yet ironically, abdominal massage has become virtually a lost art and science. Almost all energy lines and physical communication systems (blood, lymph, nerves) pass through the abdomen, and this becomes a "dumping ground" for stagnant energy. In addition to addressing physical ailments associated with all the internal organs, this work is proven to have incredible healing effects throughout the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.
GREAT for digestive issues! Click HERE for more information on Abdominal Massage Hot Stone Massage
This massage creates an experience like no other. The heated basalt stones are strategically placed on the body and their ability to hold and radiate heat assists in loosening the tightness often caused by stress & tension. I will massage with the stones as well as my hands so each body part is massaged twice. Truly decadent!
Note: I have been told by those experiencing hot stone massage at other places that I have soooooooo many more hot stones than anyone else and the massage is soooo much better. Cupping w/Deep Tissue Massage
NOTE: If you have had cupping in the past and didn't like it or just didn't like the cupping marks, please give Deborah a try. With clear communication between you and your therapist, the therapist can try their best to achieve the results (and little cupping marks, if desired).
Myofascial Cupping in conjunction with a Deep Tissue Massage. Myofascial Cupping is the therapeutic application of cups designed to release and mobilize soft tissue restrictions, increase blood flow, facilitate lymph movement, etc. Cups will be used on all body parts that need myofascial and soft tissue restrictions released. Note: You may experience redness, raised areas and/or bruising marks on the body. However, the therapist can use different techniques to minimize or not leave these marks. This will be discussed during your intake. (Click here for more detailed info on cupping) |
Deep Tissue Massage
A firmer, deeper massage on the table. However, if you feel you need Deep Tissue Massage, you will more than likely find a Thai Clinical Bodywork (Trigger Point Therapy) session will be recommended after your first session - depending on what is found with your muscles. It is a much more complete treatment. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact me. Due to the detailed nature of clinical massage and the multitude of muscle groups which may be involved, a full body treatment will (more than likely) not be possible in one session.
Pregnancy Massage
Proven to safely reduce many of the normal discomforts of pregnancy, pre/postnatal massage relieves fatigue, backaches, leg and feet pain, neck and shoulder problems, edema and muscle cramping.
Swedish Massage
This is what most people think of when you say the word "massage.". This massage is performed with the client on the massage table with the therapist using lotion or oil. My massage is a mix of different techniques depending on your desired outcome for receiving massage (relaxation, well-being maintenance, pain relief, restore range of motion, etc). I will use different techniques to reach this goal such as Swedish and sometimes Deep Tissue techniques as well as Trigger Point Therapy as needed. This type of massage has many, many benefits. However, for the most thorough treatment of your muscles and longer-lasting results between massages, I highly suggest you choose to receive a Thai Bodywork session instead.

Thai (Traditional) Bodywork
This type of bodywork is performed on a padded mat on the floor with the client dressed in stretchy, comfortable clothing.
Thai massage was originally practiced in Buddhist monasteries as part of traditional medicine. Using slow, rhythmic movements, the therapist applies compressions with thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet to harmonize vital energies. Sometimes referred to as "yoga massage," this treatment leaves you relaxed yet energized and more flexible. View the "What is Thai" page for more detailed information.
Please wear or bring stretchy clothes (tank top, shorts or stretch pants).

Sound Bath 60 minutes. You will lay on the mat and let the sound waves and vibrations wash over you. Part meditation, part listening exercise, sound baths are healing musical performances played with 7 Himalayan singing crystal bowls tuned to the individual chakras. Sound bathing calms our often overstimulated nervous systems and balances the subtle body and the 7 chakras. (If you're not familiar with the subtle body: it's also known as the energetic body, where our life force - Qi, Chi, or prana - exists). Sound bathing is said to work both the physical body and the subtle body to heal depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and insomnia - as well as balance the chakras - and to deepen meditation and spark creativity.
